Creative Destruction

This article was interesting to read as I've had extensive conversation with my mother lately about the principle differences between marketing and public relations. While marketing and public relations are growing steadily together (so much so that there are rumors that the PR department at USU will be rolling in to the marketing department in the Huntsman School of Business), I believe that there are still some solid distinctions, one of which is this: marketing is marketing, PR is forming an image for an entity. While this distinction still exists, it does seem that responsibilities and expectations of PR practitioners are becoming moving closer and closer to the marketing field.
